ABI lose JR to delay release of result of the discount rate review

Yesterday I had a very interesting day in Court 22 of the RCJ, watching the ABI's application for Judicial Review before Mr Justice Baker.

I found it particularly interesting that Leading Counsel for the Lord Chancellor indicated that "all options" remain open in respect of the discount rate and no decision has been made "that a new rate is to be set".

Judgement was handed down this morning, which has rejected the application; although this is to be appealed.
